On the 11th day of the 11th month at the 11th hour in 1918, a cessation of hostilities was honored and WWI came to its unofficial end. While we are thankful every day for the hard working service men and women who serve our country, on November 11th we honor all Veterans for their heroism and bravery, and recognize the many sacrifices they have endured for our country. It's also a vivid reminder that the transition from military to civilian life can be difficult and uncertain, especially for those Veterans weighed down by the psychological impact of combat trauma long after the battle is over. This Veterans Day, we are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the GRIT platform for Veterans in transition. GRIT (Get Results in Transition) is the first product to be born out of Total Brain's collaboration with IBM on their Health and Wellness 360 platform. Together, Total Brain and IBM are helping Veterans strengthen their mental health and wellbeing; giving them a greater understanding of themselves; and easing their transition from battlefield to backyard. We could not be prouder to be part of this innovative technology-driven collaboration aimed at supporting a most deserving community.
GRIT provides transitioning veterans with a host of useful insights and tools. In addition to aiding transitioning military in their mental health by building emotional and cognitive capacities and resilience through the Total Brain platform, GRIT also helps our nation's newly minted veterans find the right jobs, enhance their social connections for support and access the resources available to them. GRIT serves as an overall mechanism to address the social determinants that greatly impact well-being.
Total Brain's digital platform powers the Mind Gym module of the GRIT app, offering users a clinically-validated scientific assessment of the 12 core capacities that power their brain's functional areas of emotion, feeling, cognition and self-control. Based on this assessment, Mind Gym, via the Total Brain platform, offers AI-personalized self-care tools such as meditation, breathing, positive psychology and cognitive behavioral therapy exercises to help users optimize mental strengths and master weaknesses. It also screens for risk of PTSD, Addiction, Depression, ADHD, General Anxiety, Sleep Apnea, and Social Anxiety.
This initiative has been many years in the making. Its launch represents an important Total Brain milestone and reinforces the significant market demand for scalable, tech-enabled mental health solutions. Like IBM, we are committed to leveraging our technology to support the Department of Veterans Affairs and help combat rising veteran mental health issues. We are also excited by the new possibilities opened by our partnership and look forward to continuing our work with IBM as they seek to deploy Total Brain's technology, via the Health and Wellness 360 platform, to other large affinity groups.
Our mission is to improve mental health and brain performance through brain-based self-awareness and training. Our partnership with IBM helps us extend our reach and meet our mission each and every day.
